This is the last week to register for the 2013 LEGO^® Botics Class. Classes will run until May 15th and resume in September. Call and reserve your spot today! We offer the following times for homeschoolers and after school:

Mondays 9:15 - 10:05 & 3:30 - 4:20

Wednesday 1:15- 2:05

Friday 1:15 - 2:05

LEGO^® Botics Fall 2013 Syllabus

With our LEGO^® Botics Class, we are able to offer students of all ages the opportunity to use LEGO^® bricks, gears, and motors to help establish an interest in science and engineering. The program also gives students an opportunity to learn new vocabulary, appreciate science and to make new friends under circumstances where life skills such as teamwork and brainstorming are necessities. There is a $15 monthly fee, and the class runs for four months. We are also pleased to announce that with the success of LEGO^® Botics, we have been able to expand our program and offer a new class called LEGO^® Botics 2.0.

LEGO^® Botics 2.0 Syllabus

LEGO^® Botics 2.0 is offered to students who have completed our LEGO^® Botics program or who have prior experience with robotics. We offer the use of a full LEGO^® Mindstorms NXT kit as well as a collection of exclusive projects. Upon completing LEGO^® Botics 2.0, students who remain with the program begin working on advanced building and programming techniques in order to prepare them for local and state competitions. The ultimate goal of the program is for the students to for a team that will design, assemble, and program their own original creations. Classes for homeschoolers meet every Monday from 10:15 until 12:00 and our after-school class meets every Wednesday from 3:45 until 5:30. The class requires a $25 registration fee, and the costs is then $10 for each additional month. Please contact Matthew Hardaway with any questions you may have.
