Decatur Parks and Recreation is proud to welcome the Flying Dragon Disc Golf Course, the fortieth in Alabama, to the Jack Allen Recreation Complex!  Occupying 13 acres the 18-hole course (currently 10) is set within a tightly wooded area beside the entrance road into the Complex.  Every hole is a par three with Innova Custom DISCatcher Pro baskets (14 outer, 7 intermediate and 7 inner chains) waiting at the end.  The 5x12 foot tee pad is composed of carpet over limestone dust with a 4x4 framework.

The Flying Dragon Disc Golf Course becomes the nineteenth course north of Birmingham of the more than forty courses in Alabama.  The charm of the wooded area alongside the beauty of the Jack Allen Recreation Complex offsets the great challenge of negotiating the natural habitat which is host to The Flying Dragon!

Come and enjoy some time playing the course with friends or by yourself and renew your spirit with this amazing and rapidly growing sport!

Jack Allen Recreation Complex hours are Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm.
The front gate is locked at 4 pm.
