The Decatur Dog Park opened May 18, 2019, with over two acres of grass and landscaping for dogs to run and play unleashed. The Park, located beside Wilson Morgan Lake, contains one area for dogs twenty-five pounds and over and another park for dogs twenty-five pounds and under.
The Park is open from dawn to dusk for the enjoyment of dogs and pet parents. It's a beautiful area, with welcoming amenities for you and your pet's enjoyment. Remember, every dog must display their rabies tag, and rules are posted at the Park.

Decatur Dog Park Rules
♦ Enter at your OWN Risk
♦ Open DAWN to DUSK
♦ The City of Decatur is not liable for any damages, injuries or losses.
♦ This park is for DOG use only.
♦ Limit 2 dogs per adult/handler.
♦ Handlers must be 16 years of age or older.
♦ No children less than nine years old allowed in the dog park.
♦ Children 9-15 years old must have adult supervision.
♦ Puppies under four months, dogs in heat or pregnant dogs prohibited.
♦ Aggressive dogs MUST be REMOVED immediately.
♦ Dogs must wear current rabies tag.
♦ All dogs must be current on their Parvovirus, Kennel Cough, Bordetella and Distemper vaccines.
♦ No food, beverage or smoking allowed.
♦ Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately by dog owners/handlers.
♦ Owner/handler must be with their dogs at all times.
♦ All emergencies, dial 911.
