 The Carrie Matthews Recreation Center is located in Northwest Decatur and is adjacent to the Decatur City Cemetery. Carrie Matthews Recreation Center is open for public use during various hours throughout the week. The meeting rooms and the fully equipped kitchen can be rented for social gatherings by contacting the center supervisor. The center is utilized by Decatur Youth Services  for their  PALS Basketball League, Camp Safe Haven and the Drum Line.
