ARBOR DAY POSTER CONTEST

 

TREES ARE TERRIFIC…INSIDE AND OUT!

 

 

Fifth grade students in public and private schools are invited to participate in 2008 National Arbor Day  Poster Contest. sponsored by the Landscape and Beautification Department, City of Decatur. Each student is encouraged to design an original poster depicting the Contest theme- Trees are Terrific…inside and out! There will be one winner from each school that will go on to compete in the state contest. Each winner will receive a tree to be planted on school grounds along with other great prizes. Posters are to be completed by January 30, 2008 in order to meet the State’s deadline.

 

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Alabama Urban Forestry Association, The Alabama Forestry Association, Toyota and Governor Bob Riley’s office will sponsor the state contest. The Alabama state winner will receive cash and prizes from the program sponsors. The state winning poster will then go on to compete in the national contest.
