General Information  Decatur Alabama Parks & Recreation

Registration Information

The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department offers various activities and classes for all ages. Residents are invited to participate and are encouraged to become active in our programs. Many classes and activities are year round programs. Others may be seasonal or special interest. Full class and activity listings with times, locations and fees are available at recreation centers approximately two (2) weeks prior to a session. Pre-registration is held on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is held at the center where the activity or class is to take place, unless otherwise noted.

Cancellations/Refunds

Registration is final. No refunds will be given unless participant cancels at least three (3) days prior to the first day of class, excluding weekends. Any false information on the registration form will void a refund. In cases where the minimum number of participants is not registered for a program, the class will be cancelled and a full refund will be sent to registrants in four to six weeks from the time of cancellation. No registration will be carried over to another session.

Decatur Parks and Recreation will not hold classes and programs on the following holidays: January 1st, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Any additional closing will be posted in advance when possible.
