The "Jimmy Johns Tennis Center", located behind T.C.Almon Recreation Center in Point Mallard Park, is owned and operated by Decatur Parks and Recreation Department. The newly re-modeled complex features 12 championship hard courts, 4 championship clay courts, and two indoor hard courts. The pro shop has a lounge area, fully stocked pro shop and men’s and women’s rest rooms. All courts are lighted and there is a large viewing area. A backboard area to practice ground strokes and volleys is located next to the indoor courts.

Decatur Parks & Recreation now offers and indoor tennis facility located at the TC Almon Recreation Center.

Sessions in the bubble are as follows:

Monday through Friday sessions are at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 6pm and 8pm. The 2pm session is 1 hour only and is $10. the 8pm session concludes at 9:45pm. All other sessions, except for opening session on Sunday, are 2 hour sessions.

Saturday is 8am, 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.

Sunday is 12:10pm, 2pm and 4pm.

All sessions are $20 payable at the tennis pro shop office before entering the bubble. Reservations may be made one week in advance by calling TCA at 256-341-4948. Sessions may be cancelled due to maintenance, special events or weather.
