Two-hundred dignitaries and guests were in attendance at the Ingall’s Harbor Pavilion Open House Thursday, December 15, 2011. Following an introduction by the Decatur-Morgan County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President, Tammy Reist, a ribbon cutting was held at the front door to the facility guided by Mayor Don Stanford and The Decatur Chamber of Commerce Commodores.
Andy Safiano, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites and President of the Decatur/Morgan County Hospitality Association presented a brief history of the Pavilion site.
Tom Chappell, Assistant Director of Decatur Parks and Recreation provided highlights of the Pavilion.

The Casual Gourmet of Decatur catered the event under the direction of Executive Chef, Jeffrey Allison. Ron Casey of Cane Brake Country Club delivered a beautiful ice carving of the Pavilion which was the centerpiece of the main food table placed in the center of the pavilion. The festivities were also highlighted by wonderful music from the Decatur Youth Symphony.
